AL Nature

The other day I was walking to GoodYear to pick up my car after having the A/C fixed and these trees are every where. They have little white flowers on them and the petals cover the ground from all the wind, but these particular trees are in the front of my neighborhood.
On Easter I din't have to work till 5pm to unload a truck so I went to check out Oak Mountain State Park and it was awesome. They have a golf course, horseback riding, a beach (haha it has sand and lake water to swim in but it was still pretty cool), lots of hiking trails, mountain top views, camping and picnic areas. you can also rent canoes and paddle boats. But this is a pic I took while hiking on one of the trails ( next time I will be able to go further if I don't where flip flops (what can I say I'm a florida girl!)

This was at the very top of a mountain. I felt like I was driving forever to get there because the roads literally wind around and are not very wide and you can only go like 15mph ( it was kind of scary when another car was going the opposite way because I was like on the very edge and then to look over, hee.
The long drive up the mountain was worth it though, look how pretty. I think the next time Sean comes we may go eat lunch up there. Lots of people had chairs and were just hanging out up there with their families, it was cool.

On my walk on one of the trails they had all different kinds of owls and hawks. This little guy below was too cute every where I went his eyes followed me and I thought I was alone so I was talking to him and I saw a man not too far away sitting on a bench and I felt really silly, ha!
Hopefully next time I go I will have someone here to share it with. I hope every one had a Happy Easter!

  1. I was trying to think of something clever to say about the owl, but I don't have anything:) That looks so beautiful up there-I think I would be scared driving too! Hope to see you tomorrow! xoxo

  2. The trees with white flowers are Pear trees and are first to bloom in the spring. They are all over Alabama.

That State Park looks great and is on my camping visit list.

    Great Photos.
