I finally got my pics back and they did not turn out at all like I thought but you can get an idea of how cool it was to watch the wind surfers at the beach that day. There was 3 of them and they were doing really cool tricks in the air. Again, I used my 300mm lens on my film camera and these did not come out to clear but they were really really far away too.
Just thought this was a cool wave detail pic.
Here is a close up shot I got of one of them in the air. Some of them were so talented that they could actually do a flip in the air and flip their board completely around and land back on it in the water, very cool to watch!
Heres a pic I got of Sean walking back up to the sand from the water.
A little birdy that kept hanging around me!
And these kept flying over my head!

Cool! I have seen people do that before, and it looks really awesome and fun! Hope your hand is feeling better and hope we get to see you guys tomorrow at the pp:)
ReplyDeleteI never knew they could go up so high in the air. Cool pics. for those kind of zoom shots you need to have camera in tripod to avoid camera shake.

Cool pictures. They are actually kite surfing, which is similar to wind surfing except they can go high in the air like in your photos. I kind of want to try it sometime but it can be dangerous. I've read about people who kite surf and get caught in an up draft that takes them several hundred feet in the air, or into a building on the beach. Yikes.
