Colorful Surf

Here is my most recent artwork. This is one of my favorites, it is so bright and colorful and has a few different techniques going. I blended colors, splattered drops of paint, and added an acrylic medium to my paint to give it more thickness and texture. I used acrylic paint and oil paint which takes forever to dry. in fact, the New Orleans painting I did recently is still wet in some spots, crazy huh! If you double click on the pics and look at them bigger they look even better!
This was done on an 18x24 Cotton Duck Canvas that is 2 inches thick in profile! This was the most expensive canvas I ever bought so I'm glad it turned out okay.

The light inside doesn't do well for my pics but it is midnight so I can't take it outside, but I included this one so you could see the splatter.

These are a bit blurry but I wanted a few close ups so you could see the details.

Here is a pic I got of Pamella in action on Easter, Ha Ha sorry Pamella!

  1. Wow, very colorful. I like this painting very much. It looks like Pamella is really straining to blow that bubble (LOL).

  2. This painting is beautiful, sis. I really like the close up with the small splatters of paint. You know that you're going to have to paint me one, right? :)

  3. Oh, you are in trouble now...just wait until you are around me next time. At least my double chin isn't that prominent in that pic. I love your painting too, so the canvas made a difference? I love the paint splatters and the bright colors of the sky in this painting!!
